Review: Survivors Meeting in Zurich

On Friday, 30 January, the first Survivors meeting of 2026 took place. Survivors from all over German-speaking Switzerland attended this year’s Kick-off Meeting in Zurich, during which the services offered and the annual programme are traditionally presented.

The event was dedicated to a topic of particular importance to Survivors: follow-up care. Dr Maria Otth, senior physician in oncology at Zurich Children’s Hospital, gave a presentation explaining why it is important for Survivors to be informed about topics such as late effects and mental health, and how they can actively strengthen their own well-being. Afterwards, participants had the opportunity to ask questions about follow-up care.

The aperitif afterwards provided space for personal exchange and discussion.
