Review of the Survivors’ Meeting in Lausanne
On 22 November 2025, the last Romandy Survivors’ meeting of the year was held in Lausanne. At a brunch at Restaurant Loxton, conversations were both light and profound, addressing personal topics such as long-term effects and experiences from treatment. Early ideas for future gatherings also emerged.
After lunch, the group visited the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts (MCBA) to explore the impressive retrospective dedicated to Lausanne-born artist Félix Vallotton. This large-scale exhibition, presented on «Plateforme 10» by the MCBA and the Fondation Félix Vallotton to mark the 100th anniversary of his death, offered fresh perspectives on his body of work and style. Encountering his work moved many Survivors — not least because Vallotton himself died of cancer.
The exchange, openness and strong sense of community made the afternoon especially meaningful. Our heartfelt thanks go to all Survivors for their participation and to ARFEC for collaborating. We already look forward to the meetings in 2026!
