Finding support and understanding
Our commitment is unbroken. Every day, we have new families knocking on our door as they are confronted with the devastating diagnosis of cancer. That is why we are continuing our support unabated by listening to people who so urgently need to feel someone cares, by accompanying them and simply offering them a timeout.
This year, we are once again doing everything we can to offer moments of relaxation and regeneration. These include a cruise in the Mediterranean for families, an Easter weekend in the canton of Valais and we have naturally already started preparations for our summer camp, the long-awaited highlight!
Specific support for grieving families
ARFEC has been supporting grieving families for a long time. However, we felt it was important to go one step further. We would now like to offer a one-day event dedicated exclusively to those who are coping with the loss of a child and need to move forward in the difficult process of grieving.
The mourning event planned for June 2025 was devised by a team of affected parents and ARFEC representatives. The aim is to give families the opportunity to meet in a protected environment, to exchange ideas with other affected people and, together, to spend time remembering those who are no longer with us.
In the afternoon, there will be a gentle hike, moments of reflection and a memorial ceremony, with plenty of time to sit together in a cosy atmosphere.
We hope to offer these families a place of listening and comfort where everyone can move forward at their own pace, surrounded by people who understand this painful situation.
